Elements of Competency Performance Criteria              
Element: Assess maintenance work required
  • Identify works required under the management plan and organisational procedures and confirm with supervisor
  • Identify required machinery and tools to carry out maintenance works and confirm with supervisor
  • Estimate materials required for maintenance work and confirm with supervisor
       
Element: Prepare for maintenance
  • Organise machinery, tools and materials to carry out maintenance works
  • Inspect area for hazards associated with maintenance work, and report to supervisor
  • Prepare and assemble safety equipment and materials
       
Element: Maintain condition of cultural site
  • Undertake maintenance work according to work programs and work health and safety policies and procedures
  • Recognise flora and/or fauna that may pose a threat to the cultural site and report to supervisor
  • Report evidence of deterioration and wear
  • Clean up cultural site on completion of maintenance works
  • Report any evidence of damage to cultural site to supervisor
  • Report any breach of organisation's procedures to supervisor
  • Maintain protective barriers and signs according to organisational processes

Assessment Tasks
